CareerShift

An easy-to-use approach for the "hidden job market" and managing your job hunt all in one place.  This service is being provided FREE to Pitt-Johnstown students and alumni.  Please note that you must have an email with the "pitt.edu" domain in order to create your free account,  (If you are a Pitt-Johnstown alum, contact our office for instructions on how to create your free account).

The internet is a great tool for job searching. Most companies post positions on their website, online job boards, and social media outlets, such as LinkedIn. It’s your opportunity to reach up to 350 million professionals, including peers, recruiters and future employers.

Student Employment

Federal Work Study is available on campus. Eligibility is determined by completing a FAFSA and meeting with the Financial Aid Office. Students are allowed to work 10 hours per week during Spring and Fall terms. Full-time and part-time positions are available during summer.

Campus Employment is available through individual departments on campus. Students may work a maximum of 20 hours per week, dependent upon the office's operating budget.

Job and Internship Fair

The annual Job and Internship fair provides students the opportunity to meet with over 70 employers.
