View Information Systems Major

Mr. Stouffer began teaching at Pitt-Johnstown in 2013.  He's brought many technical upgrades and interdisciplinary curriculum changes into the IS program, to go along with his hands-on learning style in the classroom. Stemming from his applied work experience in the software development world, he puts students into real-life simulations where students have to work through fuzzy, complex scenarios to make things known and deliver a solution that you just can't do a Google search on.  He has taught courses in the program such as: Intro to Information Systems, Systems Analysis & Design, Project Management, Web Development, Mobile Apps, Graphic Design, Hardware/Operating Systems and has helped guide development of the other IS courses.

During his time in the software industry, he has filled roles such as:  Software Engineer, Project Manager, Scrum Master, Director of Design/QA and has been part of Leadership teams. He's led design, software engineering, and quality assurance teams during his time in practice.  Throughout his teaching years at Pitt-Johnstown, he's maintained his currency in the technical space by continuing to fulfill these roles as a consultant.  He's currently consulting as a Project Manager at Sourceree.
