Mountain Cat Wrestlers Ranked No. 1 in Super Region I

Head Coach Pat Pecora's Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cat wrestlers were the top-ranked team in Super Region I when the most recent NCAA Division II Regional Rankings were released on Tuesday.  Nine Mountain Cats are individually-ranked, including defending National Champion Chris Eddins (149 lbs.) and 2-time National Qualifier Levi Niebauer (197 lbs.), who are both ranked first in their respective weight classes.

Pitt-Johnstown, Gannon, Mercyhurst, Kutztown, and Seton Hill round out the Top-5 in the newly reorganized 10-team Super Region I.

Along with Eddins and Niebauer, 2016 National Runner-up Joey Alessandro is ranked second at 141 lbs., while Brendan Howard (125 lbs.), 2018 National Qualifier Corey Falleroni (157 lbs.), 2018 All-American Devin Austin (165 lbs.), and Brock Biddle (174 lbs.) are all ranked third.

In addition, Tyler Oliver is fifth at 285 lbs., and Alex Delp is sixth at 184 lbs.
