Alcohol-Wise

Welcome to Pitt Johnstown!  As a new student, you are required to complete Alcohol-Wise, an online alcohol education course. Alcohol-Wise is a confidential program designed to assist college students in making healthy decisions regarding alcohol use.

The complete program will take no more than two hours to complete. You’ll need access to an Internet-connected computer and your Pitt e-mail address. The program has an audio component, so if you are accessing a computer in a public space, you may wish to use a headset.

Please note that you need to complete all components of the course or a hold may be placed on your account.

You should have received an e-mail to your Pitt account with log in instructions. If you did not, follow the steps below.

  • Go to the 3rd Millennium Classroom website
  • At the student login area, use the following:
    • Username/E-mail: Use your pitt email address (ex.XXXXX@pitt.edu)
    • Password: MTCAT
  • Once you’ve logged in to the course, click Start Course.
  • After program completion, you will receive an e-mail in 30 days reminding you to complete the 15-minute follow up.

The program will take about 1.5 hours to complete. You may log into the course as many times as needed to finish.  You do not have to complete it in one sitting.

Once you have completed the 15-minute follow-up, you will have fulfilled the Alcohol-Wise course requirement.
