A visiting student is someone who elects to enroll as a non-degree seeking student for a single semester before returning to their home college or university to complete their degree.
The first step of the process is deciding whether you want to attend Pitt-Johnstown for a fall/spring term, or during the summer term. Though similar, the processes are handled by two different offices on campus.
All summer term applications for visiting students are handled through the Registrar’s office, which may be reached at 814-296-7055.
The first step recommended for any prospective visiting dtudent interested in the fall/spring terms is to contact the Pitt-Johnstown Admissions Office, who will guide you through the process, as well as answer any questions you may have. Visiting students must also work closely with their home school, usually the Academic Dean’s office, to ensure that all courses taken at Pitt-Johnstown will transfer in.
