Elizabeth Katrancha joined the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown faculty in 2010, bringing with her an impressive career in nursing that spans more than 18 years.
She has worked as a school nurse, in long-term acute care (LTAC) and as an emergency room nurse at a level 1 trauma center. She continues to work with the Geriatric Trauma Institute at Duke LifePoint Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, National League of Nursing (NLN), American Associations of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), Geriatric Advanced Practice Nursing (GAPNA) and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
She has been published in the Journal of School Nursing, MedSurg, Continuing Education in Nursing, Geriatric Nursing and the Journal of Trauma Nursing. Katrancha earned her DNP as an adult medical-surgical clinical nurse specialist at the University of Pittsburgh, MSN (nursing education) at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, BSN at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, and her Associate of Science in nursing at Mount Aloysius College.
