Why did you decide to come to UPJ?
On my first visit to the campus, I was greeted by friendly students, staff and faculty who went out of their way to make me feel welcome.
My tour guide gave me great information, not just about UPJ, but about college life in general.
I immediately fell in love with the beautiful, wooded setting of the campus.
What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about yourself while at UPJ?
Living away from home, making my own decisions and learning time management skills have helped me to become more independent and responsible.
I feel ready and well-prepared for student teaching.
I am confident that I’ll be just fine no matter where my career leads me.
What has been your most outstanding UPJ experience and why?
It’s hard for me to choose just one!
Tutoring students at a nearby middle school and getting to teach lessons in a real elementary classroom have been so rewarding.
These experiences gave me the chance to apply the knowledge and skills I learned in my classes to real-life situations.
It is amazing to see the students eagerness to learn and the expression on their faces when they grasp a new concept.
