eBills reflect all activity on your student account, including charges, payments, and financial aid credited to your account. Charges for tuition, mandatory or required fees, course-related fees (such as lab or physical education fees), room charges and meal plans are included.
The amount due and due date are clearly designated on each eBill. Fall term eBills begin to post on PittPay at the end of July with payment due August 17th and Spring term eBills are available to view at the end of November with payment due December 17th.
You will receive an e-mail at your official University e-mail address each month you have an eBill posted on PittPAY. eBills are generally posted around the 20 th of each month when there are new or unpaid charges on the account. If you have Authorized Payers, they will also receive an e-mail to the e-mail address provided in PittPAY.
Financial Aid on the E-Bill
When financial aid money is disbursed, it is listed as a payment on the e-bill. If the money has not been disbursed, it will appear as anticipated aid on the statement. Anticipated aid is still deducted from the total amount due on the e-bill. Please note that just because there is anticipated aid on the e-bill it does not guarantee that the anticipated aid will disburse. There may still be requirements the student must complete. Some loans such as the Perkins and Stafford loans require entrance counseling before the release of funds. Failure to complete all requirements will result in the loss of the aid. The student is then responsible for payment. Please contact the financial aid office with any pertinent concerns.
Late Fees Payment of the eBill "Total Amount Due," or "Payment Plan Due" received after the due date is considered late and the account is assessed a late payment fee.
In addition to the late payment fee, a financial hold restricting future services is placed after the second missed due date.
eBills are available to view or print online at https://my.pitt.edu. Select Communities then Student Services and you will see the link to PittPAY.
