We provide you with an exceptional opportunity to Get Ready for the Real World.
The Office of Adult and Continuing Education at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown seeks to serve a diverse group of nontraditional students (i.e. 21 years or older) by providing access to the college's academic resources. Adult Education provides nontraditional students an opportunity to begin an academic program at Pitt-Johnstown on either a part-time or full-time basis. Students who enroll through the Office of Adult Education benefit from communication geared to their nontraditional situations and needs, personalized academic advising, and assistance with transfer into traditional academic divisions at Pitt-Johnstown.
After the completion of 12 or more credits under the auspices of Adult Education, students may request formal transfer to the advising rolls of one of Pitt-Johnstown's traditional academic divisions. The Director of Adult Education will monitor academic progress and preparation for transfer.
In designated academic areas, such as the upper-division Bachelor of Science degree in Health Related Professions, majors in the Arts and Sciences, post-baccalaureate programs, and non-degree clusters of career-oriented courses, students will remain enrolled under the auspices of Adult Education.
