Excitement will fill the air with LEARN’s 26th year of travel around the globe and learning new cultures, new customs, and new ideas.
LEARN students will be fascinated when they explore Africa, its completely captivating cultural celebrations, clothing, food, and music.
Action-packed, it’s “Fun and Fabulous Fitness,” with exciting beat the clock relay games and hints for good nutrition and exercise.
It’s back to wampum and pow wows, with a special North American Indian discovery into their native traditions, food, language, and more.
A thrill to be able to design web pages, students will also learn to be safe online and respect others while using Internet and media, media, media.
Hanging out with Parisian artists will uncover inner passions for art! The excitement continues with the creative inspiration of artists including Monet, Manet, Seurat, Van Gogh, Degas and even a “special guest appearance by Picasso.”
LEARN is the longest running premiere day camp learning experience in the area for students and will be conducted the week of Monday, July 9 through Friday, July 13, on the UPJ campus and is open to children who will be entering grades three through eight in the fall.
The LEARN program introduces young people to the physical and social sciences, arts and humanities, current events and technology. Valuable teambuilding skills are formed and new friendships are developed with others throughout the region. All LEARN activities take place on the UPJ campus, featuring state-of-the-art computer laboratories with high-speed Internet connections, high-tech science labs, and lush natural setting.
