New President Named - March 21, 2007

(AP) - The University of Pittsburgh has named new presidents for its campuses in Johnstown and Greensburg. Jem Spectar, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Western Oregon University, will take over at the Johnstown campus on July First.

The school says that Sharon Smith will become president of Pitt's Greensburg campus on the same day. Smith is vice chancellor for academic affairs, provost and vice president for academic affairs, and special projects adviser for National University and the university system in La Jolla, California.
