On February 19, 2007, the UPJ President's Diversity Working Group held the Iron Chef Contest. Sponsored by Sodexho Food Services, contestants demonstrated their culinary prowess using beef strips, potato and a host of other secret ingredients. Mike Sotosky, emcee, hosted the evening while judges taste tested entrees made by 15 teams. Contestants donned aprons which read, "UPJ Iron Chef Competition: If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen". Each entry was evaluated in taste, temperature, presentation, creativity and sanitation. The winning teams represented these categories: Best Presentation, Most Creative, Iron Chef Award, and People's Choice.
