Pitt Johnstown Conference Center Recognized as Leader for Best Practice in "One-Stop-Shop" Service

Article Body

Meeting planners find their jobs easier using campus venues such as The Conference Center at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown who offer “One-Stop-Shop” service for event booking.

The Conference Center at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown has been designated as a certified “One-Stop-Shop” by the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors-International (ACCED-I).

This designation recognizes the ability of collegiate conference operations who can deliver on the promise of providing “one contact, one contract and one bill” to conference clients, a benchmark and best practice in service recognized by both meeting planners and collegiate conference operations.

While campus venues offer advantages in price, facility flexibility, and ambiance, the world of academia has been perceived to be large, decentralized and complex.  The “One-Stop-Shop” operation provides a single point of contact for all services offered.

ACCED-I is the largest higher education association that represents colleges and universities with conference and event services with more than 1,500 members representing over 600 institutions of higher education.
