Fees: There are No extra fees charged for personal counseling services. All registered students are provided this service without charge.
Accessible: Our office is located in the center of the campus in Blackington Hall (room 121). To schedule an appointment, stop in between classes, telephone (x7119) or send us an email.
Prompt service: We will schedule your appointment at a time convenient to your class schedule. If needed, we will see you on the same day you call us.
Confidentiality: Absolutely NO information you discuss with your counselor is ever disclosed to anyone, unless you give us your written permission to do so. No record of your visiting this office ever appears in your academic records.
Stigma ? Many people feel ackward about talking to a professional counselor. There is no need to feel that way at UPJ. A "great many" students visit with us each term. We like to say that "it's the smart thing to do." And by the way, no concern is "too small." If you are concerned about an issue, then we are also. Don't hesitate to give us a call. Problems usually worsen when they are left unresolved.
