The 2006 UPJ Homecoming Queen and her court were announced in a ceremony held Saturday, September 30, at the UPJ Sports Center.

	Lyndsi E. McGinnis, a senior health related professions major and daughter of Pat and Rose McGinnis of Altoona, Pa., sponsored by Alpha Sigma Alpha, was crowned the 2006 University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Homecoming Queen.
	Elizabeth A. Hixson, a senior business-marketing major and daughter of Charles and Camille Hixson of Latrobe, Pa., sponsored by the American Marketing Association, first runner-up.
	Courtney M. Capra, a senior communication/journalism major and daughter of Larry and Jonette Capra of Cranberry Township, Pa., sponsored by the Dance Ensemble, second runner-up.
	Carissa J. Cyran, a senior political science/international studies major and daughter of Joseph and Rebecca Cyran of Lily, Pa., sponsored by the Student Senate, third runner-up.
Other contest winners were: "Spirit of Fall Fest" Award: Alpha Sigma Alpha ($50) Student Window Painting Pittsburgh Japanese Anime Club, 1st Place ($100) American Society of Civil Engineers, 2nd Place ($75) Psychology Club, 3rd Place ($50) Float Competition UPJ Dance Ensemble, 1st Place ($500) UPJ Programming Board, 2nd Place ($300) Phi Sigma Sigma, 3rd Place ($200)
