Women's Volleyball Ranked Nationally In Aces
     09/07/06....Lady Cat volleyball player Katie Shadron (Ligonier, Pa.) was ranked 13th in NCAA Division II in Aces Per Game, and teammate Abby Gearhart (Elton, Pa.) was ranked 27th in the same category when the first national statistics were released this week.  In addition, Head Coach Linda Renzi's team ranked 27th in Aces Per game.  Statistics were based on game played through September 3.
     Shadron, a sophomore defensive specialist, accummulated 17 service aces in 17 games-played for a 1.0 average, while Gearhart, a freshman outside hitter/defensive specialist had 15 aces in 17 games-played for a .88 average.
     As a team, Pitt Johnstown's 3.06 aces per game ranks 27th in the coutry.  The Lady Cats have 55 aces in 18 games-played.
