Lady Cats Second in Free-Throw Percentage
03/04/08...The Mountain Cats and Lady Cats were ranked among the national leaders in several categories when the most recent NCAA Division II basketball statistics were released on Wednesday. The Mountain Cats held on to the top-spot in Field Goal Percentage for the fifth straight week at 53.1%, while the Lady Cats remained #3 in Free-Throw Percentage at 78.9%. Lindsay Cale (Hummelstown, Pa.) is #9 in Free-Throw Percentage at 89.7% and Chris Gilliam (Baltimore, MD) is 14th in Field Goal Percentage at 64.0%. Through 29 games, Gilliam ranks 14th in Field Goal Percentage at 64.0%. Gilliam has made 219 of his 342 field goal attempts this season. Gilliam is also 22nd in Points Per Game at 19.7 and 55th in Rebounding at 8.4 rebounds per game.
Along with Gilliam, William Sharpe (Johnstown, Pa.) is 14th in Steals Per Game at 2.5, 19th in Assists Per Game (5.9 apg.) and 73rd in Assists-To-Turnover-Ratio (1.79 atr.). In addition, Marcus Tullis (Johnstown, Pa.) ranks 22nd in Field Goal percentage (61.9%) and Quinton Davis (Pittsburgh, Pa.) is 84th in Assists Per Game at 4.2 and 87th in Steals Per Game at 1.9.
