
Turka Sixth in Doubles Per Game in Final NCAA Stats
06/12/07...Mountain Cat junior shortstop Chris Turka (Natrona Heights, Pa.) finished the 2007 season ranked eighth in NCAA division II in Doubles Per Game at .49. This year's final national baseball statistics were based on games played through June 6.
In 35 games-played, Turka collected 17 doubles to average .49 doubles per game.
Freshman third baseman Josh Campanella (Allison Park, Pa.) ranked 13th in Batting Average at .438 (39-89), and junior second baseman Dan Delsignore (Johnstown, Pa.), who was been hit 14 times this season, ranked 17th in Hit-By-Pitch Per Game at .39. Delsignore was also 97th in Doubles Per Game at .33 (12 doubles), while freshman infielder Dan Mangini (Lower Burrell, Pa.) finished 52nd in Toughest to Strike Out at one strike out in every 15.9 at-bats, and senior first baseman Bill colosimo (Summerhill, Pa.) ended 74th in Batting Average at .403 (48-119).
As a team, Head Coach Todd Williams' Mountain Cats wrapped up the year 28th in Strikeouts Per Nine Innings (7.5), 34th in Batting Average (.332), 80th in Slugging Percentage (.447) and 87th in Doubles Per Game (1.82).
