Samantha Conner Eclipses 1,000-Point Plateau
01/16/06...Samantha Conner (Everett, Pa.)
scored a team-high 17 points and became the 28th Lady Cat to reach the 1,000-point plateau, but it wasn't enough, as Glenville State (WV) College, the #6-ranked team in NCAA Division II, dealt
Head Coach Jodi Gault's
Pitt Johnstown team a 72-52 loss Monday night in the Sports Center. The Lady Cats are now 11-5.
Conner
, who needed three points coming into the game to reach the mark, pulled within one point on a lay-up with 9:18 to play in the first half, before connecting on another lay-up at 8:40 to join the 1,000-point scorers club. Along with her 17 points on 8-22 shooting and one three-point field goal,
Conner

on the All-Time Rebounding List.
Red-shirt freshman guard
Crystal Andrews (Johnstown, Pa.)
