Pitt-Johnstown SAC Association Council Meeting

Present:         Andrea Leibfreid, Andrea Sadvari, Karla Garman, Sharon Wilson, Joan Keirn, Betsy Goenner, Bob Knipple, Diane Lenio, Bev Walerysiak, Roxanne Blough, Jeanne Susko, Joyce Radovanic

Bob Knipple made a motion to approve the November Minutes; Roxanne Blough seconded the motion.

  • The Red Cross sent a ‘thank you’ for our Katrina efforts.
  • Eight Self-Nominations were received for the openings on the SAC Association; Nancy Brunberg, Barb Heider, Vicki Biter, Karla Garman, Kate Kinsinger, Suzanne Kerchenske, Jaime Petsch and Bev Walerysiak
  • Bev Walerysiak withdrew her self-nomination.  An election will be held for all new members.  A ballot will be mailed by Joan Keirn.
  • A congratulations card will be sent to Jodi Gault for her 500th win.
  • Santa’s Workshop had 15 volunteers.  A good time was had by all.
  • A discussion about our Family Holiday Project for next year was held regarding possibly sponsoring a family through the Salvation Army. $710 was raised for the 2005 Family Holiday Project.  We’ll buy a brick for Bill Clark to be placed in Heritage Square and will send a remembrance to Mrs. Clark.  The other monies will be divided between the American Red Cross and Windber Hospice.
  • Holiday Dinner had 61 RSVP’s.  It was a lot of fun.
  • Rose Reesey Scholarship – 20 applicants were received.  Brittney Corasio was the winner.
  • The Lunch Certificate was won by Do Berkey.

    • November 21 – Congratulations – Sam Buchkovich (Maintenance) Baby Girl.

            Sharon Wilson made a motion for the meeting to adjourn; Joan Keirn seconded the motion.
