Application Process

At the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown we want our admissions process to reflect the educational environment and personal dimension of the institution.  Admission is competitive, but is not based solely on a minimum test score or grade average.  We develop a composite profile of each applicant, considering aptitude, achievement, personal interest, strengths and weaknesses.

We admit students for Fall (September) Spring (January) and Summer Terms (May, June).

Application Deadline
The University of Pittsburgh practices rolling admission.  Rolling admission means that a school does not hold to a specific deadline by which applicants must apply.  Applicants care considered on a first-come, first-served basis.  Space does vary from school to school or program to program, and term to term.  Students are notified of their admission status after all required credentials have been received.
If you do not have a Social Security Number
Not having a Social Security Number will delay the processing of your appllication.  We will appreciate your cooperation in applying for your Social Security Number as soon as possilbe and notifying us when you receive it.
Freshman Applicants
If you had taken some college work in high school, please have the institution you attended send us official transcripts so that your credits may be evaluated for possible transfer.
