Pitt-Johnstown SAC Association Council Meeting

Present:  Andrea Leibfreid, Andrea Sadvari, Marilyn Alberter, Karla Garman, Sharon Wilson, Joan Keirn, Betsy Goenner

Joan Keirn made a motion to approve the October Minutes; Marilyn Alberter seconded the motion.

  • Trick or Treat – Candy was handed out to students by volunteers on October 31st.  It was a success with a lot of candy donated.
  • Pittsburgh SAC called Andrea Leibfreid for information about the Johnstown campus.  She sent the story of Pitt-Johnstown from the web site.
  • New Staff Breakfast was held on Thursday, October 13th.  It was a nice affair and we hope to have even more staff attend in the future.
  • Rose Reesey Scholarship – We have 20 applicants.
  • Holiday Party – Invitations were sent out; we have a few yes responses.
  • Support our Troops – Packages including a few items such as socks, games, magazines and small food items were sent to our troops.
  • Holiday Family Project – Paper was cut to make different colored ribbons.  All money will put in one pot – proceeds will go to The American Cancer Society, Windber Hospice and the family of our deceased employee.  We asked for volunteers to sell ribbons in the Student Union and have also designated offices to take donations.
  • The Salvation Army’s “Santa’s Workshop” will be held Monday, December 6th, 6:00 p.m. at ‘McCrory’s’ downtown.  We asked for volunteers.
  • Betsy Goenner gave us an account to use when we need to be reimbursed for SAC related items.  If you need the account number, contact Betsy.
  • A Nominations and Elections form will be sent by Joan Keirn for the upcoming election of new members.  We have seven present members whose terms expire.

Betsy Goenner made a motion for the meeting to adjourn, Joan Keirn seconded the motion.
