Hello! Welcome to the Pitt Johnstown Allied Health Programs website. Our programs in Allied Health prepare students for exciting and rewarding careers in medicine. Current programs include Associate Degrees in Respiratory Care and Surgical Technology. Additionally, a student may continue for approximately two more years beyond the Associate Degree to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare. Individuals already possessing certificates or degrees in Allied Health may receive advanced standing toward the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare.
Feel free to contact our office at (814) 269-2960 if you have questions about any of our programs. Thank you for your interest in the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown!
PLEASE NOTE: All students seeking a Respiratory Care or Surgical Technology degree MUST SUCCESSFULLY clear a criminal background check, an Act 33/34 clearance, and drug screen before entering the clinical phase of the program. Failure to do so will prohibit clinical participation and the ability to graduate with a degree in any of these majors. It is important to note that, to become licensed, many states will inquire as to whether the applicant has been convicted of a misdemeanor, a felony or a felonious or illegal act associated with alcohol and/or substance abuse.
