Volleyball Team Earns Five-Game Home Win Over Mount Aloysius
The Lady Cat volleyball team earned a hard fought, three-games-to-two, home win over visiting Mount Aloysius College Tuesday night in the Sports Center.  Junior outside hitter Abbey Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) led Head Coach Linda Renzi's team with 14 kills.  With the victory, the Lady Cats improved to 11-13 on the season.

     After dropping the first game 22-30, Pitt Johnstown rebounded with 31-29 and 30-9 wins, before Mount Aloysius forced a fifth game with a 21-30 victory.  In the final game, the Lady Cats dealt the Mounties a 15-9 loss to secure the win.  Freshmen middle hitters Kayla Lape (Fishertown, Pa.) and Casey Jo Ritenour (Latrobe, Pa.) each had eight blocks, while junior setter Sarah Davision (Grove City, Pa.) collected 49 assists.  Junior defensive specialist Ashley Brant (Johnstown, Pa.) had seven services aces, and senior defensive specialist Lauren Hildebrand (Johnstown, Pa.) added 18 digs for Pitt Johnstown.  Mount Aloysius fell to 14-10 with the loss.
     The Lady Cats travel to Mount Aloysius College on Saturday for a tri-match with Hillbert (NY) College and to Chatham College on Monday, before returning home to host Penn State-Altoona for Senior Night on Wednesday, October 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sports Center.
