10/15/05...Head Coach Eric Kinsey's Mountain Cat soccer team was unable to find the back of the net Saturday afternoon and suffered a 3-0 loss to West Virginia Wesleyan. Pitt Johnstown dropped to 3-10-1 on the season.
Pitt Johnstown gave up just one first half goal, but surrendered two more goals in the second half, before falling, 3-0, to visiting West Virginia Wesleyan. The Mountain Cats, who were outshot 21-8 for the match, got 15 saves from senior goalkeeper Steve Weimer (Scottdale, Pa.). With the victory, West Virginia Wesleyan improved to 5-7-2 on the year.
The Mountain Cats travel to Wheeling Jesuit University on Wednesday, before hosting Ohio Valley (WV) University on Saturday, October 22 as part of a doubleheader with the Lady Cats. The Mountain Cats kick-off at 2:00 p.m., followed by the Lady Cat's match at 4:00 p.m.
