Present:          Andrea Leibfreid, Jeanne Susko, Bob Knipple, Andrea Sadvari, Joan Keirn, Roxanne Blough, Judy McGuirk, BetsyGoenner, Pam Bosic,  Karla Garman, Joyce Radovanic

Bob Knipple made a motion to approve the August Minutes; Betsy Goenner seconded the motion.

 This was our first meeting with new members:  Karla Garman, Joyce Radovanic, and  Pam Bosic.

• Jeanne Susko and Joyce Radovanic were elected to represent SAC on the JPBC.  149 ballots were sent out; 70 were returned.
•  President Ethridge approved to give two Staff Awards this year; Community Service and Campus Service.
• New Staff Breakfast – Sharon Wilson will chair this project.  Joyce Radovanic will check on rooms to see what’s available for October 21^st.
• Rose Reesey Scholarship – Bob Knipple will again head this project and gather all the necessary information.
•  Katrina Project – We had wonderful support.  The many donations were boxed and picked up and passed on to the victims.  The monetary donations were passed on to the American Red Cross.
• Trick or Treat – This project will be chaired by Andrea Sadvari and Pam Bosic.  Drop off for candy donations will be posted in the near future.
• Project Bundle Up –The Salvation Army contacted Bob Knipple to help with ‘Project Bundle Up’ on October 15^th and 22^nd.  Bob will send an email and ask for volunteers to help needy children pick out coats, boots, gloves, hats, etc. from the JC Penney Store in the Galleria.
• Holiday Party – Jeanne contacted the Sunnehanna Country Club.  December 9^th is the only available date they have.  Jeanne will follow up with Bev Walerysiak to see what contacts Bev has made.
• Halloween Parade – We will not participate this year.
• Trips – We will hold off planning any trips until after the first of the year other than Judy McGuirk checking on Pitt football tickets to see if a trip could be arranged.
• Bob Knipple will check on the ‘Windber Lights Display’ held around Christmas time.              
• Lunch Certificate – The winner of the lunch certificate was Jeff Sernell
• SAC Night Out – Was held at ‘The Bistro’; 10 people showed up.  The next SAC Night Out will be held October 13^th at ‘Katie’s Place’.
• Move in Day - We had several volunteers drive new students/parents/friends to and from wherever they needed to go.  It was a lot of fun and we received many compliments.

            Jeanne Susko made a motion for the meeting to adjourn, Joan Keirn seconded the motion and the meeting adjourned at 1:25 PM.
