At Cambria Heights High School Ben will Red-Shirt during the 2005-06 season. Ben was a three-year letterman for Head Coach James Blake at Cambria Heights High School, where he helped lead his team to three consecutive District VI playoff appearances. He finished his career with 1,011 points and 252 blocked shots. Ben tallied career highs of 31 points against Northern Cambria High School and 18 rebounds against Penn Cambria High School during his senior season. He also had four triple-doubles of points, rebounds and blocked shots during the 2004-05 season on his way to being named to the Laurel Highlands All-Conference Team and First Team Altoona Mirror. Along with his three letters in basketball, Ben also earned four letters as a member of Cambria Heights golf team.
