The Education Division of Pitt-Johnstown is seeking candidates for an adjunct position in language and literacy education, to serve on an as needed basis. We are seeking candidates with proven teaching skills and abilities. This position offers opportunities to teach undergraduate courses in K-12 English/Language arts methods for education majors.
The position requires at least a Master’s degree in Language and Literacy Education or an education related field with considerable experience in instructional methods. Preferred qualifications include: experience in K-12 education or training setting; experience in undergraduate teaching; ability to integrate 21st century skills and PA Core standards within instruction; and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations. Experience teaching students with special needs or English language learners is desirable.
