Assistant Professor of Secondary Education English

Secondary Education English tenure-stream assistant professor position to begin September 2008.

Responsibilities:  Teaching secondary English methods and field practicum courses, in addition to courses in the Humanities Division (Literature for Adolescents, Composition, other literature or writing courses), and other Education courses as needed; coordinating program in Secondary Education English; supervising Secondary Education English student teachers; advising Secondary Education English students; and engaging in professional development and university service activities. 

Requirements:  Doctorate in English Education, English, or a related field, with a background in English Education, by August 2008; experience teaching composition; and a minimum of three years secondary level teaching experience.  College/university teaching and/or supervision experience preferred.  Send:1) Letter of Application, 2) Current Curriculum Vitae, 3) Evidence of Teaching Effectiveness and Professional Development, 4) Statement of Professional Development Goals, 5) Official Transcripts from all Colleges/Universities (copies accepted initially), 6) Three Current Reference Letters Specific to this Application, 7) Statement indicating Citizenship/Residency Status to:
