The position is a non-tenure stream with a three-year renewable contract. Ph.D. in English or Comparative Literature is required at start of contract. The successful candidate will teach four courses per semester and will have college teaching experience in freshman composition and in a variety of General Education literature courses. Our courses include (but are not limited to) Narrative Literature, Short Story in Context, Reading Poetry, Gender Studies, Dramatic Imagination, and Literature and the Contemporary. All of these literature courses must include a global focus by coordinating western and non-western literary works. Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise and experience in Digital Humanities. The position includes benefits and the salary is competitive. Starting date is August 2014.
