Men's Soccer Falls, 3-1,
at Davis & Elkins College 09/10/05...After opening the season with a pair of home matches, Head Coach Eric Kinsey and the Mountain Cat soccer team hit the road for the first time in 2005, and suffered a tough, 3-1, loss at Davis & Elkins (WV) College Saturday afternoon. Pitt Johnstown is now 1-2 on the season.
The Mountain Cats gave up an early goal to the Senators, but junior defender John Kotchey (Gibsonia, Pa.) scored a goal of his own to tie the score 1-1 at halftime. However, Davis & Elkins took a 2-1 lead on a penalty kick, before adding another goal on a free kick to set the final score at 3-1. With the victory, Davis & Elkins improved to 1-2-2 on they year.
The Mountain Cats return home to host Shepherd (WV) University on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
