The Chemistry Department at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown invites applications for a one year, full-time position in Chemistry at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor for the upcoming academic year. The successful candidate will teach Chemistry for Health Professions and lab, Preparation for Chemistry and Organic Chemistry.
A Ph. D. in Chemistry preferred; all areas will be considered; a commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level; effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to teach chemistry for health professions (& lab) and organic chemistry should be documented by at least one of the following: letter of reference, peer review of teaching, student evaluations or teaching awards. Screening will begin as soon as materials are received and will continue until position is filled.
