     04/28/13... (Box Score) Mike Palkovitz's (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) two-run single off the left field screen capped a four-run ninth-inning rally and led Pitt-Johnstown to a 6-5 walk-off victory over Shepherd (WV) University, Sunday afternoon at Point Stadium.  The Mountain Cats improved to 27-16 overall and finished the WVIAC Northern Division schedule at 15-15.
     Prior to the game, Pitt-Johnstown recognized seniors Jeff Campbell (Brackenridge, Pa.), Drew Ebersole (Martinsburg, Pa.), and Kody Reighard (Salix, Pa.).
     Pitt-Johnstown scored two runs to start the ninth inning, before loading the bases with no outs, setting the table for Palkovitz's hit that plated Jake Warner (Dillsburg, Pa.) and Nate Negri (Huntingdon, Pa.) the to give the Mountain Cats the win.
     Palkovitz went 3-for-5 with three RBI, while Zach Vignero (Johnstown, Pa.) had three hits, including a pair of doubles and an RBI.  Nate Pope (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) added a single and a double for Pitt-Johnstown.
     Ryan Socol (Pittsburgh, Pa.) pitched the final two innings in relief to pick up the win and improve to 3-2.  Socol allowed one run on four hits.  Andrew Keirn (Dillsburg, Pa.) started for the Mountain Cats and surrendered four runs on eight hits over the first four innings.
     Michael Lott had three hits, and Ryan Messina and Kyle Porter each collected two hits for Shepherd, which dropped to 25-20 overall and 21-10 in the WVIAC North.
