     04/17/13... (Game 1) (Game 2) Kyle Morrow (McVeytown, Pa.) belted a two-run homer in the opener, before driving in two more runs in the nightcap to help the Mountain Cats earn a 5-2 and 6-3 WVIAC doubleheader sweep at Davis & Elkins (WV) College on Tuesday.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 21-16 overall and 12-13 in the WVIAC Northern Division.
     In game one, Morrow was 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, while Brett Marabito (Seward, Pa.), Zach Vignero (Johnstown, Pa.), and Jake Warner (Dillsburg, Pa.) added two hits apiece.  Mike Palkovitz (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) and Matt McGee (Beech Creek, Pa.) each had an RBI.
     Nate Pope (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) bounced back from a rough start by holding the Senators to just two runs on six hits in a complete-game effort.  Pope also walked just one and struck out seven to even his record at 3-3.
     In game two, Sam Barbera (Harrisburg, Pa.) was 4-for-4, and Marabito added three more hits.  Morrow collected two hits, including a double and two RBI, and McGee had two hits and drove in one.
     Derek Younker (Big Cove Tannery, Pa.) improved to 6-4 after surrendering two runs on five hits over the first six innings.  Younker also fanned six, before Ryan Socol (Pittsburgh, Pa.) closed it out with a perfect seventh inning.
     With the losses, Davis & Elkins fell to 20-17 overall and 14-12 in the wVIAC South.
     The Mountain Cats travel to Lock Haven University for a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday, before hosting the Bald Eagles on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium.
