Pitt-Johnstown SAC Association Council MeetingWednesday, August 10, 200512:30 PM

Present: Andrea Leibfreid, Jeanne Susko, Bob Knipple, Andrea Sadvari, Sharon Wilson, Roxanne Blough, Bev Walerysiak

 I.  New Business

            Heart Walk, September 18, 2005.  Instead of getting a team together to walk, we’ll have a ‘Heart’ sale in the Student Union.  Candy will be given to those who donate; all candy will be donated by SAC members.  Andrea Leibfreid will send out a schedule the week before.

 

            Homecoming – September 30 through October 1.  We’re holding off making any plans to see whether or not Homecoming activities are set for that weekend.

 

            Holiday Party – Jeanne Susko will get the details of the cost, etc. from Sunehanna.  Bev Walerysiak will get info from the Boulevard Grill and City View.

 

            Andrea Leibfreid will check to see what students are enlisted so we can follow up with some kind of ‘thinking of you’ gift. 

 

            Andrea will also check with Pam Sabol for new hires.  We’ll discuss in September having a breakfast for new hires and will open it up to all staff.

 

            SAC night out – Wednesday, September 7th, Bistro.  Jeanne Susko will call and make arrangements.

 

            Bob Knipple made a motion to appoint Pam Bosic to fill Sue Bodenschatz’ seat on council, seconded by Sharon Wilson.  Pam was unanimously voted in.

 II. Old Business

            Folk Fest – September 2 through September 5.  Bev Walerysiak asked for volunteers to sell scripts.  Jeanne Susko, Andrea Sadvari, Sharon Wilson and Andrea Leibfreid all volunteered.

 

            Rose Reesey Scholarship – Bob Knipple will organize the committee.

 

            Halloween Parade – We will participate again this year.  Details will be worked out in the September and October meetings.

            V.  Adjournment

            Betsy Goenner made a motion for the meeting to adjourn, Roxanne Blough seconded the motion and the meeting adjourned at 1:25 PM.
