(Box Score) Alderson-Broadus (WV) College used four homeruns in the first two innings to build an 8-1 lead on its way to defeating the Mountain Cats 14-9 to salvage game three of the WVIAC Northern Division series, Sunday afternoon at Point Stadium.  Brett Marabito (Seward, Pa.) had four hits for Pitt-Johnstown, which dropped to 19-16 overall and 10-13 in the WVIAC North.
     After the Battlers opened-up the 8-1 advantage, the Mountain Cats came back to cut it to 11-9 in the seventh inning, but Alderson-Broaddus tacked on three more runs in the eighth to secure the win.
     Marabito went 4-for-5 with two runs scored, while Mike Palkovitz (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) and Kyle Morrow (McVeytown, Pa.) each had two hits and two RBI for Pitt-Johnstown.  Nate Negri (Huntingdon, Pa.) added two hits.
     Nate Pope (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) started on the mound for the Mountain Cats and allowed eight runs (4 earned) on seven hits.  Pope dropped to 3-2 on the season.
     Bobby McLaughtin's four hits, including a pair of homeruns and five RBI, led the way for the Battlers, who improved to 16-18 overall and 11-14 in the WVIAC North.
     Pitt-Johnstown travels to Davis & Elkins (WV) College for a WVIAC doubleheader on Wednesday and to Lock Haven on Saturday for a non-conference doubleheader, before hosting the Bald Eagles on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium.
