Mountain Cats Suffer 14-3 Loss to Griffins in Series Finale
(Box Score) Seton Hill University scored five runs in the first inning, before breaking it open with four runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth to win the three-game series and deal the Mountain Cats a 14-3 WVIAC Northern Division loss, Saturday afternoon at Point Stadium.  Pitt-Johnstown dropped to 15-10 overall and 6-7 in conference-play.
     Zach Vignero (Johnstown, Pa.) and Jeff Campbell (Brackenridge, Pa.) both had two hits and an RBI for Pitt-Johnstown, while Steve Bender (Watsontown, Pa.) tripled and Drew Ebersole (Martinsburg, Pa.) drove in a run.
     Ryan Socol (Pittsburgh, Pa.) took the loss and fell to 2-1 after allowing nine runs on 11 hits over the first 4.2 innings.
     Brad Comport had four hits and five RBI to lead Seton Hill's 21-hit day and help the Griffins improve to 21-6 overall and 14-3 in the WVIAC Northern Division.
     The Mountain Cats travel to the University of Charleston (WV) for a conference doubleheader on Tuesday, before hosting Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University for a three-game WVIAC series on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. at Johnstown's Point Stadium.
