Connecting Game Consoles

To connect devices such as the Sony Playstation 3, Microsoft X-Box 360, and Nintendo Wii to the Pitt-Johnstown ResNet, you must fill out a Manual Registration Request form available at the Student Help Desk in 228 Blackington Hall. To register your device, you must provide us with the 12 digit/letter MAC address of the device’s network adapter, along with your name, Pitt user account, dorm, and room number. Instructions for obtaining your MAC address are listed below.

The good folks at Bowling Green State University have created some very good instructions for obtaining the MAC address of game consoles. They have kindly give us permission to link to those instructions, so without further ado, here are some pages where you can get info on obtaining the MAC address you will need to complete the above registration form. Please remember that there is info there that is apllicable only to BGSU. Once you have obtained your MAC address, fill out the above form and turn it in to 228 Blackington Hall.
