Mountain Cats Suffer 13-8 Loss at Palm Beach Atlantic
     03/13/13... (Box Score) The Mountain Cats ran out to an 8-0 first inning lead, but Palm Beach Atlantic University answered with eight runs of their own in the bottom of the frame and held Pitt-Johnstown scoreless the rest of the way to deal the Mountain Cats 13-8 loss, Thursday in West Palm Beach, Fla.  Jake Warner (Dillsburg, Pa.) had three hits and and RBI for the Mountain Cats, now 8-3.
     Along with Warner, Nate Pope (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) and Zach Vignero (Johnstown, Pa.) both had three hits, while Mike Palkovitz (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) and Sam Barbera (Harrisburg, Pa.) added two hits apiece.
     Nate Sabados (DuBois, Pa.) took the loss after allowing three runs on four hits in four innings in relief of starter Billy Beard (Altoona, Pa.)Beard surrendered eight first inning runs.  Derek Younker (Big Cove Tannery, Pa.) toss two scoreless innings in the loss. 
     The Mountain Cats finish their Spring Trip in Fort Pierce, Fla. with a single game against Mercy (NY) College on Thursday, before hosting a three-game WVIAC series against Fairmont State (WV) University on Saturday and Sunday at Johnstown's Point Stadium.
