     03/09/13... (Game 1) (Game 2) The Mountain Cats got strong pitching performances from John Fees (Carrolltown, Pa.) and Derek Younker (Big Cove Tannery, Pa.) to help Pitt-Johnstown open the 2013 Spring Trip in Fort Pierce, Fla. with 7-0 and 5-0 non-conference victories over West Virginia Wesleyan College on Saturday.
     In game one, Fees scattered three hits over six scoreless innings and struck out four to improve to 2-0.  Nate Sabados (DuBois, Pa.) fanned two in a scoreless seventh inning to preserve the 7-0 shutout.
     Jake Warner (Dillsburg, Pa.) went 3-for-5 with three RBI,. and Nate Pope (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) collected two hits.  Zach Vignero (Johnstown, Pa.) also had an RBI.
     In game two, Younker pitched a complete-game shutout in Pitt-Johnstown's 5-0 win.  Younker, now 2-1 on the season, allowed just three hits and struck out three.
     Warner added three more hits and an RBI, while Mike Palkovitz (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) had three hits.  Vignero had two hits and an RBI, and Jeff Campbell (Brackenridge, Pa.) chipped-in a two-run triple.
     The Mountain Cats continue their Spring Trip in Fort Pierce, Fla. with single games against Marian (IN) University on Sunday and Nyack (NY) College on Monday.
