Stella Sergeyev Leads Lady Cat Track Team at WVU Open
     01/19/13... (Full Results) Stella Sergeyev (Lancaster, Pa.) took home a first-place finish in the 5000-meter run to lead the Lady Cat indoor track and field team at Saturday's season-opening West Virginia University Open.
     Sergeyev finished with a time of 20:56.41 to earn the top-spot in the 5000-meter.
     Along with Sergeyev, Brettlyn Neal's (Pittsburgh, Pa.) time of 10.51 was good enough for third in the 60-meter hurdles, while Jen Harold (Leechburg, Pa.) placed fifth in the mile run (6.05.66) and sixth in the 800-meter run (2:56.18). In addition, three Lady Cats finished in the top-six in the 400-meter. Kelsey Parfitt (Strongstwon, Pa.) was third (65.76), Lindsey Roessler (Chalfont, Pa.) was fifth (71.21), and Elena Mingora (York, Pa.) was sixth (71.73).
     Pitt-Johnstown also fared well in both the high and triple jumps. Erin Lischerelli (Jerome, Pa.) placed third in the high jump (4'8"), and Courtney Bridge (Stahlstown,Pa.) earned a fourth-place finish in the triple jump (27'5").
     The Lady Cats continue their indoor schedule at the Youngstown (OH) University Invitational on Friday and Saturday and the Susquehanna University Crusader Classic on February 1.
