(Box Score) Kaitlynn Fratz (Accident, MD) scored a game-high 24 points, and Jasmine Harper (Cleveland Heights, OH) added 15 points and seven rebounds to help the Lady Cats erase a nine-point second half deficit en route to a 74-69 conference win at Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College on Monday.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 5-6 overall and 3-5 in the WVIAC.
     Leah Hurst scored 12 of Alderson-Broaddus' first 14 points, but the Lady Cats got eight early points from Harper and a conventional 3-point play from Fratz to put Pitt-Johnstown in front 18-12 seven minutes into the game.
     The Battlers, who shot 58% from the field in the first half, followed with a 13-2 run over the next 5:34 to go up 25-20 on a Cayla Rhodes jumper.
     Pitt-Johnstown came right back with an Olivia Rizzo (Irwin, Pa.) 3-pointer to regain the lead 29-27, before Alderson-Broaddus built its largest lead of the half at 41-34 on seven stright points from Amanda Peoples.
     However, Fratz hit a pair of 3-pointers, then a free-throw with 20 seconds left to get Pitt-Johnstown to within three at 41-38 at the half.
     Shirshawna Dowdy hit two straight 3-pointers to push the Battlers' lead to 49-40 three minutes into the second half.
     Pitt-Johnstown clawed back to within one at 53-52 on Leah Hansen's (Waterford, Pa.) 3-pointer with just under 13 minutes to play, and took the lead for good at 65-64 on a Kelsey Sleighter (Uniontown, Pa.) basket with 5:53 remaining.
     The Lady Cats extended the lead to six with 3:23 to play and hit 4-5 from the free-throw line in the final 30 seconds to seal the victory.
     Fratz and Harper combined for 39 of Pitt-Johnstown's 74 points, while Sleighter added 10 points off the bench.  The Lady Cats also got seven points and a team-high nine rebounds from Rachel Johnson (Palmyra, Pa.) in the win.
     Pitt-Johnsotwn shot 51% (28-55) from the field, 6-16 from 3-point range, and 12-18 from the free-throw line.  After shooting 58% in the first half, the Battlers were held to just 35% in the second half and 46% for the game.  Alderson-Broaddus, which held a 31-26 advantage in rebounding, was also 9-18 from behind the 3-point line and 12-16 from the charity stripe.
     Hurst's 21 points led four Battlers who scored in double figures.  People had 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.  Dowdy also had 12 points, and Rhodes finished with 11 points for Alderson-Broaddus, which dropped to 2-8 overall and 1-5 in the WVIAC.
     The Lady Cats wrap-up a stretch of three consecutive WVIAC games beginning at West Virginia Wesleyan College on Thursday.  Pitt-Johnstown will return home on Monday to host a conference doubleheader with the Lady Cats against Ohio Valley (WV) University.  The Lady Cats will tip-off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
