Pitt-Johnstown women's volleyball coach
Linda Renzi
was named the 2012 WVIAC Coach of the Year by her peers in the league when this year's all-conference teams were released on Thursday. In addition, junior middle hitter
Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.)
was a Second-Team All-WVIAC selection, and sophomore outside hitter
Kelsey Shanabrook (Mechanicsburg, Pa.)
was an honorable mention choice...

Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University junior middle blocker Jenna Pew was named Player of the Year, while the Freshman of the Year honors was awarded to Seton Hill University middle blocker Shelby Kyllo.
Coach
Renzi
, in her ninth season at the helm of the program, led the team to a fifth-place finish in the WVIAC regular-season standings. The Lady Cats went 18-8 overall and finished 10-4 in conference-play. In her tenure at Pitt-Johnstown,
Renzi
has coached 10 players who have made All-WVIAC Teams, including three Second-Team selections.
Coach Renzi
has also had a pair of players named to the All-Freshman Team. The award marks the first time someone from Pitt-Johnstown has won the honor.
Kendera
, a Second-Team All-WVIAC choice, led the Lady Cats in blocks with 117 and was second on the team behind
Shanabrook
in kills (210) and kills per set (2.84). Kendera also ranks 11th in NCAA Division II in hitting percentage (.396) and 17th in blocks per set at 1.27.
Shanabrook
, a member of the 2011 WVIAC All-Freshmen Team, was was named honorable mention all-conference this season after leading Pitt-Johnstown in kills (270) and kills per set (2.84).
