     11/10/12... (Full Results) Jack Bachman (Greensburg, Pa.) (149 lbs.), Brian Gibbons (Buffalo Mills, Pa.), (174 lbs.), Travis McKillop (Lower Burrell, Pa.) (184 lbs.), and Josh Duplin (Johnstown, Pa.) (285 lbs.) all won individual championships, while six other Mountain Cat wrestlers placed in the top-six at Saturday's season-opening Washington & Jefferson Collegiate Invitational.
     Bachman, a returning All-American, posted a 5-0 record and defeated Heidelberg's Travis Luft, 9-3, in the title bout at 149 lbs., while Gibbons was 4-0 and scored a 5-4 decision over Thiel's Jerrold Roosa to win the championship at 184 lbs.
     McKillop, another returning All-American, and Duplin, a true freshman, also won championships for Pitt-Johnstown.  McKillop won his first four matches by fall, before winning by injury default over Mountain Cat teammate Nikos Garafola (Greensburg, Pa.) in the finals.  Duplin finished his first day of collegiate wrestling with a perfect 5-0 mark, including a 5-4 victory over Mercyhurst's Josh Ransom to claim the title at 285 lbs.
     The Mountain Cats also had six others place in the top six, led by Garafola, the runner-up behind McKillop at 184 lbs.  Returning National Qualifier Gary Lantz (Delta, Pa.) was fourth at 174 lbs.  Evan Link (Cresson, Pa.) (125 lbs.) and Sean O'Connell (Farmington, CT) (197 lbs.) were both fifth, and Joel Paolo (Weirton, WV (157 lbs.) and Chad Miller (Johnstown, Pa.) (165 lbs.) each placed sixth.
     The Mountain Cats travel to West Lierty (WV) University on Friday to open the dual meet schedule.  Pitt-Johnstown will make its 2012-13 home debut on Tuesday, December 4 when East Stroudsburg University visits the Sports Center at 7 p.m.
