     11/10/12... (Box Score) Kelsey Shanabrook (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) finished with 16 kills to help the Lady Cat volleyball team lock down the fifth seed for next week's WVIAC Volleyball Tournament with a hard-fought 3-sets-to-2 Senior Day victory over Davis & Elkins (WV) College, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center.  Pitt-Johnstown closed out the regular season with an 18-7 overall record and a 10-4 mark in the WVIAC.
     Along with Shanabrook, Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.) had 10 kills, two block solos and two block assists, while Ashley DiRado (Greensburg, Pa.) collected eight kills, a block solo and five block assists.  Pitt-Johnstown also got seven kills and 14 digs from Karen Schmidt (Boswell, Pa.) in the win.
     Kayla Petrilla paced the Lady Cats with 24 set assists and 10 digs.  Nikki Oakes (Pittsburgh, Pa.) tallied 17 assists.  Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) led the way with 24 digs.
     Prior to the match, Pitt-Johnstown recognized seniors Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) and Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.).
     The Lady Cats will kick-off the 2012 WVIAC Tournament at home in the Sports Center against an opponent to be determined on Monday at 7 p.m.  A Pitt-Johnstown victory would send the Lady Cats Thursday's WVIAC Quarterfinals in Charleston, W.Va.
