     11/09/12... (Box Score) Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.) had 15 kills, and Kelsey Shanabrook (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) added 13 kills to help the Lady Cat volleyball team earn a 3-1 victory over Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College, the possible No. 2-seed for next week's WVIAC Tournament, Friday evening in the Sports Center.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 17-7 overall and 9-4 in conference-play.
     The Lady Cats, who secured at least the No. 5-seed for the tournament, defeated the Battlers 28-26, 25-20, 16-25, and 27-25.
     Kendera also had three block assists, while Shanabrook had 12 digs and a block solo to go along with her 13 kills.   Larissa Swank (Boswell, Pa.) chipped in six kills and three block assists, and Karen Schmidt (Boswell, Pa.) tallied six kills, 11 digs, and a pair of block assists.  Ashley DiRado (Greensburg, Pa.) finished with five kills, a block solo, and three block assists.
     Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) and Nikki Oakes (Pittsburgh, Pa.) each had 23 set assists, and Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) had a game-high 21 digs.
     With the loss, Alderson-Broaddus dropped to 18-15 overall and 11-2 in the WVIAC.
     The Lady Cats will  celebrate Senior Day and wrap-up the regular season against Davis & Elkins (WV) College on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Sports Center.
