Lady Cat Volleyball Wins at W.Va. Wesleyan
     11/03/12... (Box Score) Behind 16 kills, 13 digs, and six block assists from Karen Schmidt (Boswell, Pa.), the Lady Cat volleyball team made it two wins in less than 24 hours with a 25-9, 23-25, 25-19, 25-19 victory at WVIAC West Virginia Wesleyan college on Saturday.  Pitt-Johnstown raised its record to 16-7 overall and 8-4 in the WVIAC.
     Kelsey Shanabrook (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) collected 10 kills and three digs, while Ashley DiRado (Greensburg, Pa.) had eight kills and three block assists.  The Lady Cats also got six kills, a block solo, and six block assists from Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.), and six kills from Larissa Swank (Boswell, Pa.).
     Nikki Oakes (Pittsburgh, Pa.) finished with a team-best 26 set assists and six digs.  Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) tallied 15 assists, seven digs, and six service aces, while Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) had 14 digs in the win.
     With the loss, West Virginia Wesleyan dropped to 9-18 overall and 5-7 in conference-play.
     The Lady Cats will host a WVIAC match against Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College on Friday at 6 p.m., before celebrating Senior Day and wrapping-up the regular season against Davis & Elkins (WV) College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
