The Chemistry Department at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown invites applications for a one semester, part-time position in Chemistry at the level of Adjunct Assistant Professor or Adjunct Instructor, depending on qualifications. Teaching duties include General Chemistry with labs and possibly Preparation for Chemistry – 8 to 10 credit hours total.
A Ph. D. or ABD in Chemistry preferred, but will consider well qualified MS with teaching experience; a commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level; effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to teach general chemistry and labs should be documented by at least one of the following: letter of reference, peer review of teaching, student evaluations or teaching awards. Screening will begin as soon as materials are received and will continue until position is filled.
