Paul Weatherly started 28 of the Mountain Cats’ 29 games and averaged 5.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. He shot 39.7% (50-126) from the floor, 45.0% (18-40) from three-point range, and 79.6% (39-49) from the free-throw line. Three times he led the team in rebounding. Weatherly scored in double-figures four times, and tallied seven or more points 11 times. He also pulled down five or more rebounds seven times.Weatherly has recorded highs of 13 points against Seton Hill University on Jan. 22, 2011 and 13 points at Davis & Elkins (WV) College on Jan. 12, 2012. He also grabbed nine rebounds at Ohio Valley (WV) University on Jan. 26, 2010, dished out seven assists at Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University on Dec. 6, 2012 and seven assists against Seton Hill on Feb. 25, 2012.
After red-shirting as a freshman in 2009-10, Weatherly made his Mountain Cat debut in 2010-11 and played in all 28 games off the bench. Weatherly averaged 4.8 points and 2.4 rebounds in just over 17 minutes per game. Three times as a red-shirt freshman he scored in double figures. Weatherly also grabbed four or more rebounds five times and dished out three or more assists seven times.
At Greater Johnstown High School
Weatherly was a four-year letterman and two-time Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference (LHAC) All-Conference Team choice for Head Coaches John Fuschino and Dave Roman Jr. He averaged 18 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in 2008-09. Weatherly ended his high school career with 1,261 points and over 500 rebounds. Weatherly also helped lead Greater Johnstown High School to four straight playoff appearances, one District VI Championship and one LHAC title. Academically, he graduated from Greater Johnstown with high honors.
