Men's Golf Ties for Seventh at WVIAC Championships
     10/16/12... (Team Results) (Individual Results) Mike Macionsky (Duncansville, Pa.) shot a three-day total of 229 to tie for eighth-place and lead the Mountain Cat men's golf team to a tie for seventh-place with Fairmont State (WV) University at the season-ending WVIAC Championships at Glade Springs Resort in Daniels, W.Va. on Tuesday  Concord (WV) University's Stefan Labuschagne won medalist honors on his way to guiding the Mountain Lions to the team title with a 16-stroke victory over the University Charleston (WV) in the 13-team field.
     Labuschagne finished with a 220 to defeat Bluefield State (WV) College's Nick Dent (223) and claim the individual championship.
     Macionsky led Pitt-Johnstown with a tie for eighth-place with a 229.  Macionsky opened the tournament with an 80, before fininish with a 71 on Monday and a 78 on Tuesday.
     Along with Macionsky, Kevin McDonald (Erie, Pa.) tied for 14th with a 234 (76, 77, 81), and Zack McQueen (Freeport, Pa.) placed 47th at 255 (89, 81, 85).  John Bush (Pittsburgh, Pa.) tied for 48th with a 256 (86, 87, 83), and Max Bondi (Allison Park, Pa.) (79, 90, 88) finished 51st, one shot behind Bush.
     Concord combined to shoot an 898 to run away with the WVIAC Championship.  Charleston was second (914), while Bluefield State (928), Davis & Elkins (WV) College (931), and West Virginia Wesleyan College (959) rounded out the top-five.  Pitt-Johnstown tied for seventh-place with Fairmont State at 964.
